Cabbage Rolls
Great for all Phases
Easy to prepare
Ingredients:
- 8 – 10 large cabbage leaves
- 1 lb. lean ground turkey (or lean ground beef, or chicken)
- 1 leek
- 8 mushrooms
- 1 small bell pepper
- 1 zucchini
- 1 can diced tomatoes (no sugar added)
- fresh or minced garlic
- sea Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Step 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2. Par boil cabbage leaves (until soft).
Step 3. Brown turkey and add leeks, bell peppers and mushroom)s, zucchini (any vegetable phase 1 allowed.
Step 4. Drain well.
Step 5. Spoon into cabbage leaves.
Step 6. Wrap like a burrito, hold closed with toothpicks.
Step 7. Place in baking dish.
Step 8. Pour tomatoes over the cabbage rolls.
Step 9. Bake 15-20 minutes.
