What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a treatment that affects the desired change for the promotion of health and wellbeing. The technique works with an individual’s qi, often translated as “energy,” or “life force” and can have a profound effect on the body, mind, and emotions. Through the subtle redirection of the qi over time, patients of acupuncture are brought back into balance and often resolve the underlying conditions that led to their symptoms. Ultimately, the very symptoms that lead a person to treatment could hold the keys to the wellbeing they seek.
Acupuncture for Weight Loss
When combined with an effective food plan and diet protocol like Ideal Protein, acupuncture can support weight loss in the following ways:
- IMPROVE GUT HEALTH – Excess weight gain is one way that body communicates an imbalance in the digestive system. Acupuncture can support the body in restoring a more efficient digestive process.
- RELEASE ENDORPHINS – Food cravings in the body are sometimes associated with a lack of endorphins or other hormonal imbalance. Acupuncture can help restore balance and support the body’s ability to release endorphins.
- MANAGE STRESS – Stressful situations are part of life. Acupuncture can help support a more regulated stress response system and reduce the tendency to use food to self-medicate.
