Great for Phases 1 – 4
Easy to prepare
- 28 oz can Peeled Whole Tomatoes no sugar added
- 2 tbsp. tomato paste
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- 2 tbsp. apple cidar vinegar
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
Step 1. Drain tomatoes, (set aside juice to think out sauce if prefer).
Step 2. Puree the tomatoes and tomato paste in a blender.
Step 3. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Add more salt or seasoning as needed.
Step 4. Pour mixture into a medium sauce pan, bring to a low boil. Immediately turn down to low heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5. Put sauce into container with lid, and keep in refrigerator until use.
Serve over zucchini noodles, add lean protein and serve.
